Switotwins DST turns over Book Development to New Program “Balud Books”

For the past years, Switotwins Digital Storytelling has been assisting in local stories development and publishing through online media. Last February , Switotwins Inc launched its newest program called “Balud Books” headed by artists curator, Angely Pamila Chi. Balud Books is intended to focus more on publishing local stories and works from the community through printed zines, D.I.Y creative crafts and etc. The production team of Balud Books are out of school youths from Baranggay Mintal who were trained by Switotwins Inc last January 10, 2015 on how to create an 8-page zine and write their own stories.

The first few books were sold during the first ever BLTX (Better Living Through Xeroxography)Davao Small Expo last February 5, 2015. Books were also available during the LitOrgy Metamorphosix. You can see the selection in the Balud Books page and order from there.

Balud Books was featured in Inquirer Online last March 2015 on an article about Better Living Through Xeroxography. The article also talked about other noteworthy artist based in Davao City.
