Davao Social Enterprise “Your Story is Your Livelihood” wins British Council I am a Changemaker Camp

Switotwins Digital Storytelling Philippines’ pitch entitled “Sugilaynon nimo imong panginabuhi (Your story is your livelihood)” won the grand finals along with 4 other teams during the British Council I am a Changemaker Ideation Camp at the First Pacific Leadership Academy, Antipolo Rizal last October 22-30.

The pitched idea is to help internally displaced persons recover pyschosiocially by teaching them how to make their own animated local stories. The stories will be turned into local language learning materials and digital apps and games and the revenue will go back to the community.

Sugilanon Nimo Imong Panginabuhi will be turned into an additional program in a continued partnership with organizations who are experts in psychosocial recovery using creative methods.

Other winners of the Changemaker Camp were Moro Fit and Style, Tala, Hashtag Juicing, Route +63.  The camp was attended by 43 participants who were chosen competitively all over the Philippines.
